Nuth municipality
Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 16.359; area: 32,63 km². Settlements:
Nuth (seat), Hulsberg, Schimmert, Vaesrade, Wijnandsrade.
In 1982 the former municipalities of Hoensbroek and Hulsberg were partly
joined to Nuth municipality; furthermore Schimmert and Wijnandsrade were
added.
On 21 Jun 1982 a new municipal flag was adopted by municipal resolution.
It consists of three equally wide horizontal stripes yellow - white - red.
Towards the hoist in the left top corner is the CoA with a height equal
to 8/10 the height of the top and middle stripes.
