Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 22.512; area: 42,21 km². Settlements: Goirle (seat), Breehuis, Riel.
This flag was approved by the municipal council on 3 May 1961. Description: Three equally wide horizontal stripes yellow, white, blue. In the canton on the yellow stripe eight red and eight white blocks. On the blue stripe at the fly the municipal arms fimbriated yellow.
