Mierlo former municipality

On 1 Jan 2005 Mierlo merged with Geldrop to form the new municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo.
Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 10.174; area: 18,09 km². Settlements: Mierlo (seat).

Granted 20 Aug 1959. The lady is St. Lucia; she holds a palm-branch in her right hand, and an oil-lamp in her left hand. The small shields contain mill-irons, symbols of the Peel-region.
