Population (1 Jan 2003): 26.776; area: 29,39 km². Settlements: Waddinxveen (seat).
Flag: a square yellow flag with two black keys in saltire.
Adopted 10 May 1973 by municipal resolution.
At the advice of the High Council of Nobility the flag was slightly modified in order to be identical to the municipal arms, where a horizontal black bar is in the center of the crossing keys.
