Presentation of Ross Dependency

The Ross Dependency is that slice of the Antarctic continent over which New Zealand claims jurisdiction, and it stretches from 160 degrees east to 150 degrees west of the Greenwich meridian. Its biggest geographical feature is the massive Ross Ice Shelf. Habitations include Scott Base (NZ) and McMurdo Sound (USA).
James Dignan, 21 November 1995
