fictional depiction
by António Martins
The only one with a non-black background: a dark red flag with a golden hourglass winged in blue (nice way to say that the victim's time of living is flying away!) in the hoist, a white arm holding a sword (or a dagger, judging by it's size) in the center and a golden skull & bones in the fly.
This attractive flag (for a pirate flag, of course) is reported to have been
used by Mr. Christopher Moody, certainly a gentleman of the seas.
Jorge Candeias, 27 November 1998
The flag depicted is fictional, originating in 1923.
Mike Maggelet, 16 October 2005
