Przemyśl is a city with county status in Podkarpackie vojvodship. It does not belong to Przemyśl county. Flag of this city has been adopted on 23 May 2005, decision Nr. 71/2005 can be reached at this webpage. Image of the flag is included in a PDF document reachable at this web-address, ratio 2:3.
Situated on the edge of Sandomierz Lowlands and Carpathian Foothills, it was one of the towns at the Polish-Ruthenian border which suffered political instability from the 10th century on, followed by the Latin diocese in 1375. Przemyśl was a trading centre and the seat of starosta (the Crown administrator).
