If you replace the green border of the Coast
Guard flag with a white one, and add a thin black fimbriation to isolate
the main white field from the border, you get the pilot ensign.

I noticed that the eagle is not crowned in this images. I guess it should
be for the current flags. Was there the "uncrowned" version during last
50 years used?
