Overview

This is the flag of Savarona, one of the oldest community within the city of Caguas, and the first with its own flag.
Blas Delgado, 27 May 2000

Savarona is not a "barrio" but a residential community within the Pueblo Barrio. It is a very old community with its own peculiar characteristics. Nowadays it could be said that it is a "Little Santo Domingo", like Miami Southwest is the "Little Havana". Our main Dominican Rep. population in the city resides in the community of Savarona. One may said that within the Pueblo Pentagon, it is located in the right inferior quadrant.
