About the flag

The flag is a red flag with a typical coat of arms: 4 towered mural crown, scroll reading "VILA DE BOMBARRAL", and shield. The shield is very simple: silver with 3 bunches of purple grapes disposed in V (2+1). The grapes mean wine.

Presentation of Bombarral

Bombarral is a town in the south of the district of Leiria, old province of Estremadura, probable future region of Ribatejo e Oeste. The municipality is rather small, 90 km² of area and a bit over 12 400 inhabitants distributed in 5 communes. The economy is mostly rural.
