The flag was adopted 30, April, 1997. Ratio 2:3. Elements: yellow chevron (cyrillic letter "L", first letter of city name), wings and 8-rays sun. Meaning:

• wings - aviation industry;
• blue field - river Oka;
• green colour - nature and agriculture.
