Description of the flag

At this Slovak site, reverse and obverse of a blue - gold (?) - red flag with inscription "1590-1993" and insignia and Cyrillic text. It looks like the Don Cossack flag, but this is of Volžští kozáci (Volga Cossacks).

I don’t know why the Volga cossacks use the dates 1560-1993. Officially the oldest cossack army in Russia is Don army (founded 1570). I think:

• 1560 - first reference about cossacks
• 1993 - foundation of Volga Cossack Army
