This is the flag of Helsingborgs kommun, a square banner of the arms, showing a two story roofed castle, with a tower and behind a wall, all in red bricks, lined black on a white background. This flag is quite common in public places in Helsingborg, especially near the the city hall, Rodhus (red house -- but doesn't look like the one on the flag...) (means "city hall" -J.O. Engene).

This is a variation of this flag I spotted once, dark orange instead of red and with no black lining. I suppose it was a printing error, as someone forgot to add the black in when printing the flag -- our flag producers please advise. Error or not here this was, flying high in a pole near the Oceanhavn, at least five days in a row...

Also in the harbour, but near the peer where small ferries go to Denmark, was a permanent display of maybe 5x5 flagpoles some 6 m high in a tight square, all flying one of two versions of this Helsingborg unofficial flags. My host told me that they were from a traditional arts exhibition held in 1955, FolkArt H55, and stayed there since (I'm quite sure that the flags themselves were substitued many times ). It's a 2:1 flag, showing a large "H" extended till the borders of the flag, either red on white (A) or orange on yellow (B).
