Presentation of Apače

The municipality of Apače was formed in 2006 by secession from the municipality of Gornja Radgona.

Flag of Apače

There is now a contest to design the municipal flag and arms with, if I understand correctly what appears on the municipal website, prizes of 200, 100 and 50 € for the winners, the deadline for submission being 31 January 2008.

The Apače municipal website showed for a while some kind of coat of arms featuring a sunflower with five stars below and the name of the municipality above, but I think this was only a temporary symbol used for the website.
