Jelka (in Hungarian: Jóka) has 3.723 inhabitants (76,0% Hungarian; 1990 census). The name of village is first time mentioned in king's deed of donation in 1197, in the version of ILKA (deed of King Belo IV in 1239).
Flag-image based on a small table flag I have seen in Szil village, the twin community of Jóka. Flag adopted 4 Apr 1997.
