Kamienka municipality
Kamienka, in Hungarian Kövesfalva was a Ruthenian settlement in the Szepes
(in Slovakian Spiš, in German Zips) County of the Kingdom of Hungary to
1918/1920 (Declaration of Martin / Treaty of Trianon). 1920-1938 part of
Czechoslovakia, 1939-1945 part of Slovakia, and 1945-1992 part of Czechoslovakia.
The village lost its Ruthenian settlers. The flag, published in Heraldický
Register Slovenskej Republiky - I (2000) for Kamienka (Humenné district),
actually belongs to Kamienka, Stará Ľubovňa
district (info from Mr. Andrej Škuba, previous inhabitant of village Kamienka).
