Image based on this page. Pohranice, in Hungarian Pográny has 1130 inhabitants (68% Hungarian, 1991 census). The settlement was a part of the Nyitra (in Slovakian Nitra) county of the Kingdom of Hungary before 1918/1920 (Czechoslovakian occupation/Treaty of Trianon). 1939-1944 and from 1993 part of Slovakia.First mention is from 1113.
