It is not clear when was adopted the first flag of the Soviet republic
of Daghestan, after 20 January 1921. Other soviet republics within Russia
adopted red flags 1919-1920. In the Dagestan flag that, of course, was red,
were golden capital letters in canton "DASSR" (cirillic) that in my opinion
can be a pattern dated c. 1923 (before -1921-1923- I believe that the pattern
must be "DSSR" but I dont know any flag with this letters).
