From nwanews.com/bcdr/News/32826/ :
"Benton County Judge Gary Black raised the new Benton County flag at the County Administration Building on Monday morning. The flag contains the Benton County logo designed about two years ago as part of a T-shirt-design contest. Since the logo was created, Black has wanted to put the logo on a flag. "Wal-Mart has a flag; schools have flags," he said. "I just thought it would be kind of neat to have a Benton County flag."
At least two other counties in Arkansas have county flags, including Craighead and White counties. Black plans to use one of the three flags purchased to use as a backdrop when the county is represented at conferences, town hall meetings or other events. The logo contains an outline of the state of Arkansas with a dot in the northwest corner, representing Benton County, and includes the words "cornerstone of the state."
