Flag Description

The Town of Mamou is in Evangeline parish, Louisiana, USA. It has 1.41 sq.miles area and a population of 3,566.

The flag is diagonally divided green-yellow-purple with the word MAMOU written in variably shaded green and yellow at the top, a red crayfish, an accordion, and an elliptically arranged green ribbon with the town name and motto "Cajun Music Capital of the World" written on it. Inside the ribbon is 1911 in yellow.
