The flag of Dutchess County, NY, is, like many county and municipal flags
from the Hudson Valley of New York, an orange, white, & blue tricolor,
reflecting the area's heritage as part of the New Netherland colony. The flag
can be seen in the photo of the County Legislative chamber seen at
www.co.dutchess.ny.us/CountyGov/Departments/Legislature/CLindex.htm and
www.co.dutchess.ny.us/CMSGraphics/CLLegChambrs2.jpg . It is also visible at
the extreme left of the photo of the town board of the Town of Hyde Park,
Dutchess County shown at
http://www.hydeparkny.us/townboard.shtml. The white flag at the far
right in that photo is probably the Hyde Park town flag. Neither photo reveals
enough for me to say whether the county seal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dutchess_County_ny_seal.gif or some other
emblem is at the center of the county flag.
